Pop Smoke Has ‘FAITH’ On Posthumous Album

It has been a little over a year now since the late Pop Smoke was taken from us. While many of us fans are still mourning, his legacy still lives on through his music. The release of his posthumous debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon (executive produced by 50 Cent) was of course sentimental value to us, given that the rapper didn’t even have the chance to see and celebrate the album’s success. The project gave birth to a number of top 10 singles that eventually lead the LP to reach platinum status. Now, over a year later today (July 15), Pop Smoke’s estate has done a great deed for us with the release of his second posthumous album FAITH.

With the amount of music that Pop Smoke recorded before his untimely demise, it was inevitable that those records would eventually see the light of day. Based on this alone, it’s possible we could be gifted with another posthumous album of his some time in 2022. Until then, it’s now time to indulge and enjoy the summer of the woo. Smoke’s estate clearly knew how to time this release perfectly to coincide with the types of activity going on outside these days. From cookouts, to pool parties, to late night cruises around your city, FAITH has the vibes for it all.

Recently, Pop Smoke’s mentor 50 Cent took on the role as mentor for DaBaby where he took to Instagram to confirm in the comment section of the two rappers: “I lost Pop before he could get it. This one already got it and he listen. I’m a teach him all the mistakes I made, so he can be better than me. THIS IS HIP HOP.”

With this unsettling reality we’re facing, we could only wonder the heights of Pop Smoke’s potential with 50’s guidance. In the meantime, stream FAITH and remind someone that the smoke will never clear!
